Description
Hony CTAC is a 28 - 32% active solution of cetyl trimethyl ammonium chloride, a cationic quaternary ammonium salt that is used as a light hair conditioning agent. Its use in conditioners and cream rinses improves both wet and dry combing and reduces static electricity.  As it is cationic, it is used primarily in conditioning products rather than in shampoos. It is used as a surfactant (for cleansing and emulsifying) and a suspending agent. It also could be use as a topical antiseptic and a preservative due to its ability to inhibit the growth of microorganisms.
